15-18 April : Easter Holidays Trip

WHEEEEEEE! Mackay (Muh-kai) was a BLAST! Company was AWESOME (the housemates), weather was PERFECT!! Though it was a short 4D3N trip, it was definitely well-spent. The first night was spent at Mackay and we drove up to Airlie Beach/Whitsundays the following day. Thankfully, we were blessed with good weather and the sky started clearing up! Considering the fact that the days before we left, it has been rainy/gloomy. Main highlight of the trip would be the third day where we spent around 4 hours on the Knuckle Reef Pontoon on the GREAT BARRIER REEF! I promise to try and elaborate more on the pontoon since it's something new to me as well! Meanwhile, please make do with the pictures from Day 1 and 2. Too BUSY slacking/procrastinating the past few days! And before I realize, I've got one submission and a test due next week! Off to shower and to hopefully complete my CML!

Day 1

If you notice, we were actually walking along the main road from the airport to collect our rental car. Opportunity cost: 50 bucks!

The lighthouse that we were trying hard to search for because we expected something taller and BIGGER. Nonetheless, it's still magnificient and yes it's still in working order!

Day 2The motel we stayed at for the night was like a scene depicted in slasher/killer movies! It was hygenice and cosy, just a little ancient! Also, the bottom left picture was of me and Joyce Xu in 'Who has the Biggest Mouth' competition where we used the number of grapes we could place in our mouth at one go as a form of measurement.
From GC and Sunshine Coast last semester, I haven't experienced beachy weather at the beach! Finally some nice warm weather at the beach.

Decided to do a short post before continuing with my Transport journal review. The past week has been well spent. I was actually more excited than nervous about my hot topic discussion. Went in there, gave my very best. Hopefully the results does justice to the amount of time and effort I placed in for that presentation. Brett commented on how fast I was speaking throughout the discussion and it is true that I tend to speak at BULLET-TRAIN speed whenever I get in front of the whole class and start presenting. I'm just surprised that he thought English's our second language since we can't possibly speak soooo fast if it's not our first language. Popped over to Shin Le's place on Friday for 'girl's night' where we had a delicious meal of Nasi Lemak and made more friends. I shall attempt to take more pictures to add some colours to this blog here since it's starting to get dull and boring!

First presentation/class discussion of the semester tomorrow. Surprisingly, I'm still feeling calm about it and have yet to feel the jitters. Still undecided on whether to dress in shorts or jeans. That shall depend on my mood tomorrow. Let's hope that I can put my formal wear to use during the Impacts & Sustainability presentation since it's for the Ipswich City Council.

Enjoying doing my statistics tutorials as the days go by. Probably because it's the only one that provides us with definite answers to tutes unlike the rest of the tourism modules. And our tutor's definitely amazed by Joyce and I. We are like the only ones who attend lessons with ALL our homework done and yet whenever she posts questions to us, we seem to be lost. HAHAHA!! That's due to the fact that most of the time, we're probably discussing some other stats related qns amongst ourselves.

Ohh! And we've discovered a 'new' module that could be taken in the next semester which is quite similar to APEL at TP. Hopefully we'll be able to sign on for that module and it would save us from the misery of doing yet another tourism module - which means 0 tourism mods next sem. WHEEEEEEEE!! Isn't it contradicting that I'm doing a Travel and Tourism major and yet I dread its modules?

Shall end off the post before i continue rambling on and on about school! Nights people!!
